The WAV Makers: Andrew Nofer
Andrew Nofer is a guitarist from Hauppauge who has experience both on the mic and on the strings. Nofer first made his music debut going by the stage name "Kid Funk". He made his only 2 appearances as features in Centra's 2022 "Breathless" and his 2023 EP track "Jaded".
Stepping away from the microphone and putting the Kid Funk name to bed, he now focuses on his craft as a guitarist inspired by the music of the 60s-70s more specifically the talents of the some of greatest guitarists of all time in Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Joe Perry, Robby Krieger, etc. Nofer initially picked up an acoustic guitar in 2021 and taught himself entirely using what he could find online. Over time he eventually served as an extra ear and voice alongside Dows to launch the career of Hauppauge's Centra. Nofer has co-produced songs such as "Got 'Em Hooked". Eventually, he served his greatest role playing the electric guitar in Centra's rap EP "Vendetta" on the intro track "Oasis". You can actually watch Nofer perform this live on YouTube during the EP release show which was held in Massapequa in June of 2023.
After the features and shows, there has not been any official releases involving Nofer up until February of this year when he played guitar on Dows' "Reflections" house EP track ironically titled "Funky Kids" which his role serves as the highlight of the 4 track house EP. Outside of that, Nofer has posted some of his work covering songs & has played with some garage bands but no shows or new work coming yet...
